YSR Vahana Mitra is a financial assistance scheme for self-owned auto/taxi drivers in Andhra Pradesh. The scheme provides ₹ 10,000/- per annum to help drivers cover the cost of insurance, fitness certificates, repairs, and other expenses. The objective of the scheme is to increase the income and reduce the expenses of taxi drivers.
Eligibility for YSR Vahana Mitra
- Ownership: The applicant must own and drive an auto rickshaw, taxi, or maxi cab.
- Applicability: The scheme is applicable to the owners of passenger auto rickshaws, taxis, or maxi cabs.
- Family: Only one family is eligible to receive benefits for one vehicle. A family is defined as a husband, wife, and minor children.
- Possession: The vehicle must be in the possession of the owner.
- Account: The bank account must be in the name of the owner of the vehicle. The bank account of the beneficiary can be in any one of the scheduled commercial banks.
- Beneficiary: The applicant must not be a beneficiary under any other government scheme for occupational groups.
- Government: The applicant or their family members must not be government employees or pensioners. However, the families of sanitary workers are exempted.
- Income: The applicant or their family members must not be income tax payees.
- Consumption: The monthly electricity consumption of the family dwelling unit (owned/rented) must be less than 300 units (calculated on the average of 6 months preceding the date of application).
- Land: The applicant must not possess land exceeding 3 acres wet/ 10 acres dry/ 10 acres wet & dry land.
- Property: In the municipal areas, the applicant’s family must not possess the property of more than 1000 sq. feet of residential/commercial built-up area.
- GSTN: The beneficiary must not be a GSTN holder.
Eligibility Criteria for Families with Different White Ration Cards
- The ownership and license of different persons in the same white ration card are allowed. However, only one person is eligible for financial assistance in a family consisting of a husband, wife, and minor children on the same white ration card.
- If the beneficiary is Father/Mother/Daughter/brother and the driving license is in the name of the major son, the Father/Mother/Daughter/brother who is the registered owner of the vehicle is eligible to get the benefit, though both names are noted in different white ration cards.
- The beneficiaries who have driving licenses issued by other states shall apply for a change of address in the concerned RTO Office, concerned based on their place of residence which will be done expeditiously.

- ఏ దరఖాస్తు కూడా RC, FC & Insurance Expire అయ్యింది అని రిజెక్ట్ చేయురాదు. రవాణా డిపార్ట్మెంట్ వారి సూచనల మేరకు వాటి తనిఖీ జరుగును. అలా కాలం చెల్లిన వాటితో ఎవరు అయినా దరఖాస్తు చేస్తే వాటిని స్వికరించి వెరిఫికేషన్ చెయ్యండి.
- గత సంవత్సర లబ్ధిదారులు ఎవరు అయితే వారి వాహనం అమ్మివేశారో మరియు రవాణా డిపార్ట్మెంట్ డేటా బేస్ ప్రకారం వారి పేరు కూడా వాహనం పై డిలీట్ అయ్యిందో వారి పేర్లు ఈ సంవత్సరం 2023-24 వెరిఫికేషన్ కొరకు పుష్ అవ్వవు. ఇప్పుడు కొత్తగా వేరే వాహనం వారి పేరు పై ఉంటే వారికి కొత్తగా దరఖాస్తు చేయాలి.
- గత సంవత్సర లబ్ధిదారులు ఎవరు అయితే పాత వాహనం అమ్మివేసి, కొత్త వాహనం కొంన్నారో ఆ కొత్త వాహన వివరాలతో వెరిఫికేషన్ కు ఈ సంవత్సరం వారి పేర్లు వస్తాయి.
- ఒకే లబ్ధిదారుని పై రెండు లేదా అంతకన్నా ఎక్కువ వాహనాలు రిజిస్ట్రేషన్ అయ్యి ఉంటాయో వారి పేర్లు వెరిఫికేషన్ కొరకు పుష్ చెయ్యలేదు. అలాంటి వారికి త్వరలో అప్డేట్ ఇవ్వటం జరుగును
- పాత లబ్ధిదారుల వెరిఫికేషన్ కొరకు కుల మరియు ఆదాయ ధ్రువీకరణ పత్రాలు ఆప్షనల్ అనగా తప్పనిసరి కాదు.
- ఈ సంవత్సరం 2023-24 కొత్తగా దరఖాస్తు చేస్తున్న వారికి కుల ధ్రువీకరణ పత్రం తప్పనిసరి కాదు కానీ ఆదాయ ధ్రువీకరణ పత్రం అనేది తప్పనిసరి.
- కొత్తగా వాహనమిత్ర కు దరఖాస్తు చేసే సమయం లొ “Vehicle details already registered with same UID” ఇలా వస్తే వారికి కొత్తగా పెట్టనవసరం లేదు. అలాంటివి అన్ని కూడా వెరిఫికేషన్ కు వస్తాయి .

How to apply for YSR Vahana Mitra scheme at Sachivalayam
3 stages of YSR Vahana Mitra scheme, 1st stage can be done by volunteer or yourself
STAGE 1
- Visit the nearest sachivalayam in Andhra Pradesh.
- Ask for the application form for the YSR Vahana Mitra scheme. – DOWNLOD HERE
- Fill out the application form.
- Attach the required documents.
- Submit the application form to the concerned official( WEAs / WWDS).
STAGE 2
- Volunteers / WEAs / WWDS: Conduct field verification, take eKYC, make recommendation, and forward application to MPDO/MC.
- Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO) / Municipal Commissioner (MC): Receive application, verify recommendation, and forward to ED BCs.
- Executive Director of the Backward Classes Corporations (ED BCs): Verify application, make recommendation, and forward to government.
STAGE 3
- Provisional eligible list: Published in all secretariats. Citizens in the list can raise a grievance if they think the reason for ineligibility is incorrect.
- Reverification list: Published in all secretariats. Reasons for ineligibility are mentioned.
- Final list of Eligible and Ineligible Beneficiaries: Published in all secretariats. Citizens in the Final Ineligible list can raise a grievance in Citizen Schemes Portal.
- Scheme benefit: Disbursed to all eligible beneficiaries through Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS).
- Acknowledgment of receipt: Done by the Volunteers / WEAs / WWDS using eKYC (Biometric Authentication).
