PM-Kisan 14th Installment News
Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 14th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) on July 27, 2023. The installment was worth Rs. 17,000 crores and was transferred to the bank accounts of more than 8.5 crore farmers across the country.
Under the PM KISAN scheme, eligible farmers receive a direct benefit transfer (DBT) of Rs. 6,000 per year, which is paid in three equal instalments of Rs. 2,000 each. The scheme is open to all small and marginal farmers who own less than 2 hectares (4.9 acres) of land. To be eligible, farmers must have a valid Aadhaar number and bank account.
