Welfare and Educational Assistants on Leave
- Welfare and Educational Assistants must inform the MPDO and Assistant Social Welfare Officer in advance of their leave.
- Welfare and Educational Assistants must submit a medical certificate from the Assistant Civil Surgeon for medical leave.
- The MPDO will review the submitted medical certificates and grant leave. Leave will not be granted if the medical certificates are not valid.
- The MPDO will send a copy of the leave order and a copy of the order appointing a replacement to the Assistant Social Welfare Officers and the Scheduled Castes Welfare and Empowerment Officer.
- Welfare and Educational Assistants must confirm that the leave order and the order appointing a replacement have been received by the Assistant Social Welfare Officers and the Scheduled Castes Welfare and Empowerment Officer.
- The MPDO will grant leave for up to one month for all leaves other than medical leave. For leaves of more than one month, the matter will be forwarded to the Scheduled Castes Welfare and Empowerment Officer for further action.
- Welfare and Educational Assistants who wish to extend their leave must obtain permission in advance from the relevant MPDO. If permission is not obtained, the leave will be cancelled and the Assistant will be directed to report for duty.
- Welfare and Educational Assistants who are on leave for more than three months will be transferred to the relevant district officer. Welfare and Educational Assistants who are on leave for more than six months will be transferred to the District Collector.
- Scheduled Castes Welfare and Empowerment Officers will issue orders only to Welfare and Educational Assistants who have informed them in advance of their leave details for the purpose of issuing orders for posting.
